Astro Journals

“Astrology is a science in itself and contains an illuminating body of knowledge. It taught me many things and I am greatly indebted to it.” - Albert Einstein

Astrology journals are now available online (http://reimaginedonline.com/shop/)! This journal is a collaboration between 3 local artists: Star Flower Sacred ServicesThe Chemical Marriage, and myself. Our intention was to create a container for your own astrological observations. It is a tool for beginners and studied astrologers alike. While it is important to study technical astrology from gifted teachers and texts, it is through our lived experience that we begin to embody the energy of the signs and planets in our own life.

The print on the front is from a block carving created by Chemical Marriage while the astrology information inside is from Star Flower Sacred Services. The first page is an invitation to draw your own natal chart with directions on how to do so. It is to help you connect with your own unique chart. The last two pages have a cheat sheet of words describing both the planets and the signs. The pages in between are blank and ready for your notes, journal entries, observations, dreams, questions, etc. Each journal comes with an additional sheet describing our intention in creating them and also ideas and prompts for how to use the journal. They are available in the zodiac and lunar cycle prints. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We hope you enjoy your astro adventure!

Labyrinth Journals

“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” -Jeremiah 6:16

The labyrinth is an ancient symbol based on the spiral. While there are many layered meanings, I most simply see it as a walking prayer. It is one path in and one path out. While a maze is a puzzle and designed to get your lost, a labyrinth is a clear path and you need only keep taking each step in front of you. Walking towards the center is a reflection of looking inward and the path back out symbolizes re-engaging with those around you. Both are important. Many have used it for centering and meditation. This particular design is from ancient Crete, the oldest labyrinth design (besides an actual spiral).

I’m glad to be able to offer these and keep being reminded that our lessons are layered like these curves are. We start on the outer and think we have finished that understanding as we move forward, but we actually keep coming back to it, to a deeper understanding. It doesn’t necessarily mean we didn’t get it the first time...there are just more layers to it all.

May these assist you well as you walk your path. Patches created by The Chemical Marriage

Mini Photo Books

If you are looking for a quick, but thoughtful way to show someone you care, check out these mini photo books. The idea is from a customer who was giving these out as Christmas gifts. She told me that she goes to Rite-Aid, prints the photo index card, and puts the tiny photos in the book necklaces. These photos (shown in the photo with the quarter) are really small. I'm creating a book necklace one size larger to accommodate the photos that are 1.25 x 2 inches (they cost .39 for 9 at Rite-Aid). You can find the small book necklaces here . The larger ones will be available online next week. If you'd like one before then, let me know.

The smallest photos are from the photo index card that you have the option of getting at the end of choosing your prints.  I used photo squares to adhere the photos to the page.  You can use any scrapbook adhesive as long as its acid-free.

Handbound Leather Journey Journal

"Your hand opens and closes, opens and closes. If it were always a fist or always stretched open, you would be paralyzed. Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birds' wings.”
-Rumi

Baby Books, Guestbooks, Address Books, Music Composition Notebook, and more

I've been having too much fun playing with new designs.  I've added some new sizes, new closures, and speciality books which come with certain insides.

Below are the new sizes in handmade paper.  They are for a limited time only.  You can use them for writing, sketching, photos, watercolors, and more.  This also shows two of the new closures that I've started using more of: the bronze latch and the knotted leather.  The knot looks complicated, but it is literally a knot and is a whole different look.

This is a sample page from the Baby Book.  Makes a great gift for a baby shower and has all the typical places for notes that you will want to keep as your baby is growing.

The guestbook is nice for a wedding gift or is even good for a wedding shower where you can easily keep track of guests.

The address book is small (about 4 x 6) and is great for those of us who are old school and still write down addresses.

The dated diary has one page per day and would make it easy to do a little daily journaling or would be a good place to keep notes that you need to be dated and organized (for example, a food journal/diary).

The music composition notebook is a unique place to write your music.  It is simply pages full of the staff for your composing pleasure.

New photo albums come in three sizes.  These also have the inside pages shown below.  They have a glassine (a glossy, transparent paper) separating the pages so your photos are protected.

Small Leather Diaries with Heart Locks

Introducing leather diaries with heart locks...and just in time for Valentine's Day.

“The things we truly love stay with us always, locked in our hearts as long as life remains.”
― Josephine Baker

Perhaps you would like to note a few secret reflections for only your heart to hold or perhaps you are drawn more to the symbolism of cherishing and holding close certain thoughts, prayers, quotes...If so, this small diary would be a perfect fit. It comes with a heart shaped lock and two small heart shaped keys. Maybe it is an extra key in case you lose the first...or maybe it is a key you give to your love so the two of you can share love notes and memories. May this diary assist you well as you write and/or draw those parts of yourself that you want to hold particularly close.

If you would like a custom color and size with a different lock, here are the other lock and key options.  Please contact me with any questions.

Celebrate KY Journals

These journals were created in celebration of the state of Kentucky!  While I've considered making state journals for awhile, it was my long-time friend and fellow Kentuckian, Megan Morgan, who really pushed for me to create these.  We both have done a bit of travelling and living elsewhere, but have surprised ourselves at how we continue to be drawn back here.  I've heard similar stories from others who grew up in this state.  There is something magical about the hills, the rivers, the pastures, the people.   There truly is a growing KY pride, and these journals are meant to celebrate that.

Memory Book Ornaments

Memory Book Ornaments are mini-books that you can actually write in and hang on your Christmas tree each year.  They are frequently used for writing little notes or memories in or for giving as gifts to book lovers, teachers, librarians, book club members, etc.  They come in two sizes with the larger size also having decorative beads.  They both have the whimsical swirly hook for hanging.  They come in a variety of colors.  If you are interested in some, please contact me or stop by one of my shows.
